There is no greater pain for a mother than watching her child suffer and feeling powerless to help. For mothers of children battling addiction, this pain becomes an unrelenting trauma. Their lives revolve around fear: fear of the next crisis, fear of losing their child, fear that things will never get better. These mothers carry deep emotional wounds: grief, shame, guilt, and exhaustion, and all while trying to hold families together. Yet, in the world of addiction treatment, their needs are almost always overlooked.
